# Controller States

### Heating

|
The BMS signals that it is (too) cold. The controller will "charge" the battery. The BMS will use the provided energy to power its heater. Once the battery has reached operating temperature, the controller will change into one of the "Normal Operation" states. Which state that is depends on the actual SOC and the time of the last EOC.

When the controller detects, that it is below the configured minimum SOC (USV feature), it will charge the battery as fast as possible.
